James L. Adkins

James L. Adkins, age 76, passed away May 19, 2014. He was born in Council Bluffs on September 17, 1937 to the late Russell & Inez (Bishop) Adkins. Jim retired in 2000 from the Metz Bakery Co. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Adkins; sisters, Mary Newman and Marjorie Fronk; step-son, Mark Wagner Jim is survived by his children, James Adkins (Brenda), Douglas Adkins (Patricia), Charles Adkins (Patty), Kathryn Adkins, Corey Adkins (Sarah); sister, Anna Leverich; 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; step-children, David Wagner, Dennis Wagner, Nancy Spicka (Butch); a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Lewis Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
