Jarrod Adam Dobson

Jarrod Adam Dobson, 52, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away suddenly at his home on January 15, 2023.

Jarrod was born May 7, 1970, in Minnesota, to William and Patricia Dobson.

He worked for Hy-Vee in the Deli Department in both Spirit Lake and Council Bluffs, Iowa. Later, he became an Optician with America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses in Council Bluffs.

Jarrod was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; his beloved cat, Jinx; and his dogs, Kodee, Jess, Addy, and Emma.

He is survived by his partner, Bob Christopherson, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his lifelong friend, Mona Kahl, of Okoboji, Iowa; along with many close friends, family members, and loved ones.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Masonic Lodge #71 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pastors Alex Wolf and Martin Lucin will officiate. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Interment of ashes will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska, at a later date.

Dinner and fellowship will follow the service.
