Jerry Elden Doughman, age 85 of Dallas, TX passed away on March 7, 2026.
Jerry was born in Council Bluffs, IA on November 20, 1940, to the late JB and Helen (Jessen) Doughman. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1959. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Colleen (Bryan) and they shared the last 63 years together.
Following two years of military service with the US Army, Jerry worked diligently for Burlington Northern Railroad for 40+ years beginning as a switchman and working up through the ranks of operations management ultimately to the position of Division Superintendent.
Away from work, Jerry was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and he had a passion for the sport of wrestling forming and coaching several successful wrestling teams. He was fun loving and will be missed by everyone he touched.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by sister, Lona Cloyd; brothers, Ronnell (Haas) Doughman, Robert Doughman and Victor Doughman; brothers-in-law, Larry Quandt, Mitchell Goldsberry, Bill Cloyd, David Bryan and Lennie Bryan; niece, Stephanie Haines; and nephews, Bud Haines and Steven Bryan.
Jerry is survived by wife, Carolyn; son, Troy; daughters, Kendra (Andy) Bell and Rhonda (Mark) Meuret; grandchildren, Shane and Kelli Doughman, Morgan and Mariah Bell, Ethan, Ashton, Colin and Carolyn Meuret; great-grandson, Boudreaux Radde; brother, Wesley (Donna) Doughman; sisters, Mary Jayne Quandt and Annetta Goldsberry; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Bryan, Jackie Doughman and Mary Ann Bryan; brother-in-law Norm (Arlene) Bryan; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2026.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Tunnels to Towers.
