John A. Doe

John A. Doe, age 60 of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2010. John was born on January 1, 1950 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Jim & Lisa (Hammond) Doe. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1968. He received his bachelors degree in Computer Programming from Iowa State University. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 25 years, retiring in 1998. He was preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jane E. (Miller) Doe; son, John Jr. and wife Sarah, daughter, Melissa Hodges and husband Jeff; brother, Jim Doe; sister, Alice Cullen and husband Ben; 5 grandchildren and many friends. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Abe Williams officiating. Interment will be at the Garner Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
