John Donald Knickerbocker

John D. Knickerbocker, age 71, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at Midlands Living Center October 31, 2026.

He was born June 27, 1955, to the late Donald and Margaret (Buchanan) Knickerbocker in Council Bluffs, IA. John graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1974. He was a member of El Bethel Assembly of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Pauley.

John is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Cindy Knickerbocker; children, Donald Knickerbocker (Marisa), Brandon Knickerbocker (Samantha), Isaiah Knickerbocker, Elijah Knickerbocker, and Coutney; brother, Joseph Knickerbocker (Beth); grandchildren, Sophie, Taysom, Jordan, and Erianna; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The family will direct memorials.
