John Clarence Lewis

John Lewis, age 76, passed away on May 8, 2026. He was born on April 30, 1950, to Herman and Eula (Bruner) Lewis in Omaha, Nebraska.

John attended North High School in Omaha. Over the years, he worked as a truck driver and also spent time in car sales, boat sales, and RV sales, enjoying the opportunity to meet and connect with people.

A devoted Nebraska Huskers fan, John rarely missed a chance to cheer on his team. Above all else, his grandchildren were the center of his world. He loved them deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Lewis.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Lewis; step-father, Darrell Tritch; daughter, Tricia Lewis; son, Brian Lewis (Lisa Riskowski); grandchildren, Kelsea Lyons, and Nick Yopp; great grandchildren, Justin Akers Jr., and Karter Akers, and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026 in the Hoy Kilnoski Community Room.
The family will direct memorials.
