June N. Gellert

June N. (VanScoy) Gellert, age 96, passed away January 5, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1926, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to the late Donald and Emma Austin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John VanScoy and Lawrence “Bud” Gellert; grandson, Eric Scott Jacobsen; siblings and in-laws, Donald and Murldean Austin, Gretchen and Dale Jesup, Lea and Stan Luxon.

June is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Michealia VanScoy; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Wayne Jacobsen; stepson, Larry Gellert; grandchildren, John and Becky VanScoy, Mathew VanScoy and Cheryl Bergstrom, Megan VanScoy, Ryan and Cynthia Jacobsen, step grandson, Justin and Sita Gellert; great grandchildren, Bella Jacobsen, Anna Jacobsen, and Joshua VanScoy; step great grandchildren, Junu and Jasa Gellert.

Memorial service is at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 1:00PM. Visitation will be during the hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials in her honor.
