Kathryn Feekin

Kathryn "Kate" Feekin (Rasmussen), age 89, passed away at Bethany Lutheran Home on March 3, 2024.

She was born September 5, 1934 to the late Leonard and Gladys Brookhouser in Council Bluffs, IA. Kate was born, raised and lived in Council Bluffs her entire life and attended St. Francis school. She retired from the Council Bluffs Schools after many years working as a teacher's aide.

Kate was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband, Bennett Rasmussen; sisters, Charlotte Green, Marion Thomas and Margaret O'Neill.

She is survived by children, Kevin Rasmussen, Kim (Fran) Pierce, Rich (Elaine) Feekin, Rodney Feekin and Ryan Feekin. Grandchildren, Kathryn "Katie" (Mark) Frutiger, Jennifer Pierce, Tyler (Jared Williams) Pierce and Mitchell Feekin. Great grandchildren, Aviana and Sophia Frutiger, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

The family will direct memorials to Iowa Humane Alliance and Council Bluffs Schools Foundation.
