Kenneth Lee Neighbors

Kenneth "Kenny" Neighbors, age 86, passed away at his home March 18, 2026.

He was born May 2, 1939 to the late Oscar and Etta (Mass) Neighbors in Silver City, Iowa. Kenny was a proud Marine, devoted father, and beloved family member and will be remembered with love by all who knew him.

He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and carried that identity with honor, humor, and pride throughout his life. He remained closely connected to his fellow Marines, cherishing their time together, especially their Taco Tuesday gatherings.

He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including watching Westerns, fishing, mushroom hunting, and restoring his 1950 purple Ford pickup truck.

Kenny will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, sense of humor, and deep love for his family and friends. His legacy of service and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellie Neighbors, whom he cherished deeply, and his daughter, Rhonda.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Neighbors (Jackie) and Jeff Neighbors; and his niece, Stephanie Bowley ("Red"), whom he loved as his own.

A private burial will be held in his honor.
