Linda Christiansen

Linda Christiansen, age 74, passed away on November 25, 2025. She was born on June 3, 1951, to Richard and Eunice (Sweetman) Dunaway in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Linda spent more than 30 years working as an underwriter with Pottawattamie Mutual Insurance (Western Iowa Mutual).A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda's greatest joy came from her family. She especially loved video chatting with Dakota, Jasper, and the rest of her family, cherishing every moment of connection. Creative at heart, she enjoyed crafting and planning, often spending time with her sticker books and projects. Linda was a longtime member of Timothy Lutheran Church. She deeply valued her visits with Pastor Clark and treasured the friendships she built within her church community.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eric Christiansen; her in-laws, Clarence and Loretta Christiansen; and her grandparents, Ed and Clara Sweetman and Roy and Amanda Dunaway; nephew, Nicholas Nugent; niece, Teresa Dunaway Kubli; brother and sister- in-laws, Keith and Valorie Christiansen; sister-in-law, Shelly Dunaway. 

She is survived by her devoted husband of 43 years, Larry D. Christiansen, and her children, Becky (Derek) Williams and Shane Christiansen. She was a proud grandmother to Dakota and Trevor Warden and a cherished great-grandmother to Jasper Warden, Aubrey Warden, and Hannah Warden; her sister, Sandy (Kevin) Nugent, and her brothers, Mike Dunaway, Dave (Cathy) Dunaway, Terry (Evelyn) Dunaway, and Richard (Nancy) Dunaway; niece, Diane Gatewood and Laura Whaling, and several nephews, Jim Dunaway, Corey Dunaway, Terry Dunaway Jr., Matthew Dunaway, Mark Nugent, and Mike Christiansen, Richard Dunaway Jr., Scott Dunaway, and Brant Dunaway. 

Burial will be held at a later date at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
