Linda Johnson

Linda E. Johnson, age 79, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025.

She was born February 7, 1946, to the late Ival and Elaine Outhouse in Onawa, IA.

Linda was raised in Moorhead Iowa and attended Moorhead High School. She met and married Darwin Clark, they then welcomed Cathy in 1964.

Linda lived in Missouri Valley, Iowa and had a fulfilling career at Avaya in Omaha, formerly known as Western Electric and Lucent, retiring in 2001.

She cherished annual vacations to Minnesota with family, often reminiscing about those special times. Linda also loved road trips and adventures with close friends, making lifelong memories along the way. After retirement, she spent many happy summers at her cabin in Columbus, Nebraska, where she hosted family and friends and shared countless meaningful moments with her beloved grandchildren.

Linda poured her heart into nurturing Danielle and Matt. Her boundless love, devotion, and care helped shape their lives and brought immense pride and joy to her own.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Vince Outhouse; and best friend, Carol Rodewald.

Linda is survived by grandchildren, Danielle (Jesse) Rydberg and Matt Collins; daughter, Catherine Clark-Collins; son-in-law, Lance Collins; first husband, Darwin Clark; brother-in-law, Rolly (Mary) Clark; niece, Raquel Hoveland; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The family will direct memorials.
