Lisa Lynn Chambers

August 2, 1963 — May 23, 2022

Lisa Lynn Chambers passed away peacefully on May 23rd, 2022 surrounded by her immediate family. Lisa was born to Kenneth and LaDonna (Myers) Spooner on August 2nd, 1963. Lisa was the first-born child and adored by many. Lisa gained the title of Big Sister, welcoming her siblings Tricia and Jason and honored that title throughout her life.

Lisa married Mark David Chambers on August 23rd, 1997 in Council Bluffs, IA. With this marriage, she also welcomed her daughter, Brittany, with open arms. Lisa and David spent many years in Omaha, NE and settled in Council Bluffs, IA in the final years.

Lisa had a heart of gold and loved deeply. Her smile was contagious. When Lisa smiled others smiled. Family was the most important thing in her life until her last days. Her family knew this and embraced all the love she had to give. She had the gift of praise and comfort. She always welcomed a hug and listened if you wanted to talk.
Lisa enjoyed movies, music and reading. She had a fond fascination with Looney Tunes which was shared by her husband. She enjoyed family gatherings and going with her daughter and friends to local craft fairs.

Lisa’s health was challenged late in her life but she fought hard and was as strong as she could be. Each day brought new strengths and new thoughts. She remained steady and had a good sense of humor even as her illness was taking over.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and LaDonna (Myers) Spooner; husband, Mark David Chambers; grandparents, Benjamin “Bud” and Opal Spooner, Edwin and Wilma Myers; mother-In-law, Margaret Grover Chambers.
