Lona M. Rocz

Lona M. Rocz, age 72, of Council Bluffs passed away May 5, 2014. She was born in Council Bluffs on February 27, 1942 to the late Norman & Rosina (Nibbe) Hemiller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Hemiller. Lona is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gregory Jack Rocz; daughters, Tammy Thacker (Michael), Teresa Franks (Rickey), Twila Biddenstadt (Jeffrey), Tracy Rocz; sisters, Delores Rudolph, Shirley Franks, Carolyn Good, Jean Ivy (Frank), Janet Wyatt (Michael), Gladys Armine (Douglas), Barbara Ortega (Manuel); sister-in-law, Debra Hemiller; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in Memorial Park Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials are suggested to Walnut Grove Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
