Lonnie Lloyd Points

Lonnie L. Points, age 65, of Council Bluffs passed away on August 18, 2014 after a courageous 18 year battle with brain cancer. He was born in Council Bluffs on January 17, 1949 to Lloyd & Leona (Bonham) Points. Lonnie was a certified public accountant for many years and worked in insurance and surety bonds. He was also a member of the Council Bluffs Fish and Game Club. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Points. Lonnie is survived by his wife, Shirley Points; son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Kendra Points; daughter and son-in-law, Holly & Jason Storey; mother, Leona Points; brother, Les Points; mother-in-law, Beverly Coyle; grandchildren, Ashley, Dominic, Mackenzie and J.J.; great grandchild, Adelynn. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. Memorials will be directed by the family to the American Cancer Society or towards research for Brain Cancer.
