Louella M. Johnson

Louella Mae Johnson, age 95 of Council Bluffs passed away November 3, 2012. She was born outside Neola, Iowa on February 12, 1917 to the late Lloyd & Jesta (Bratches) Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Johnson; daughters, Beverly Jane Manhart and June Wyland; brothers, Virgil Thomas, Stanley Thomas; sisters, Hazel Peters, Marian Ellerbeck and Betty Christians. Louella is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean & Melvin Torneten; brother, Don Thomas; grandsons, Kevin Torneten and Curt Wahle; great grandchildren, Blu Wahle (Angie), Amy Nyvall (Andrew), Henry Wahle, Jessica Sanders (Bobby), Dillon Torneten, Zeb Wahle; great-great grandchildren, June Nyvall, Axel Wahle, Tielyr Sanders; brother-in-law, Merle Ellerbeck. Visitation is Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will take place Wednesday morning in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ followed by a reception at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ.
