Marcel McAuley

Marcel M. McAuley, age 60, passed away peacefully at his home on May 5, 2025.

He was born January 26, 1965, to the late Marcel and Jennie (Marshall) McAuley in Troy, NC.

Marcel was a friend to all and had the biggest, most tender heart. He was a true testament to his faith. Marcel was a proud father and very much enjoyed watching sports with his children and coaching baseball, basketball, and football. He loved the Tar Heels, Dolphins, and Huskers.  Later in life, Marcel helped his wife with her daycare and he found much joy in caring for all the children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Chuck Bogus.

Marcel is survived by his wife, Cyndie McAuley; children, Whitney McAuley, Khloe (Levi) Terrell, Nolan Niesen, Blair McAuley, Nyla McAuley, and Samuel McAuley; sister, Johnsie (James Davis) McAuley Davis; mother-in-law, Kathy Bogus; brother-in-law, Danny Bogus; many cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, May 09, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Memorials are suggested to the family.
