Mark Anthony Roberson

Mark Anthony Roberson I, 79, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away on June 22, 2026, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

Mark was born on January 17, 1947, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to the late Dale Roberson and Cloma Roberson. He proudly served his country in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, Mark dedicated many years of hard work to the Pottawattamie County Department of Roads, where he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues.

Mark was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Roberson; his son, Mark Roberson II; and the mother of his children, Nancy Roberson.

He is survived by his son, Jason Roberson (Kelly Coffelt); his grandchildren, Shayla Kinzel (Stephen), Jordan Roberson, Luke Roberson, Brendan Roberson, Camden Roberson, Brooklyn Roberson, and Maverick Roberson; along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Mark enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, and he had a special passion for model trains. He found joy in these hobbies and shared that enthusiasm with family and friends throughout his life.

A celebration of Mark's life will be scheduled at a later date.

Mark will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, his strong work ethic, and the many memories he created with those he loved. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
