Marta Catalina Jimenez

Marta Catalina Jimenez was born to the late Martha Maldonado and Rodolfo Lopez Zelaya, in El Salvador, San Salvador on February 1, 1961. She was at a very young age out of school but with that she worked very hard for her family.

Marta was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend, Rogelio Jimenez on March 18, 2002 in Council Bluffs, IA. Marta raised her children with lots of patience, discipline and humility. She taught them about patience, kindness, hard work, and more importantly love. Love was a very important part of Marta to have in her children. She loved to travel with her kids. She loved to travel from every corner of the states, from California to New York, Iowa to Mexico and El Salvador.

Marta was an educator at heart. She always had the best advice, always had time to answer a question or just listen no matter how big or small you felt a situation was, she answered her phone. Kind and soft spoken.

Marta is survived by her husband, Rogelio; her son Gabriel Munos (Ana Gladis), Lorena R Maldonado, Rebecca Haagensen (Shaun), Rogelio Jimenez Jr. (Rosie); her grandchildren Ronald, Nayeli, Dominic, Alex, Aliyah, Nova, Jaxon, Demitry and Liam. Sisters and one brother; Jaqueline Montejano ( Baltazar), Sonia Maldonado, Mirna Maldonado (Benito), Ernesto Maldonado, Silvia Chaidez (Jose).

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Interment is at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
