Maxine Clema Miller-Mccallum

Maxine Miller-McCallum, age 91, of Council Bluffs passed away May 30, 2013 at Methodist Jennie Edmundson. She was born December 27, 1921 in Council Bluffs to the late Ray & Clara (Cobb) McKeown. She retired from the Council Bluffs School System after 20 years of service. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Clifford R. Miller in 1973; 2nd husband, Ernest McCallum in 2008; son-in-law, Ira Kennedy; brother, Lavern McKeown; brother-in-law, Arnold Madsen. Maxine is survived by her daughters, Karen Kennedy and Linda Gardner (George); grandchildren, Jay Kennedy (Connie), Rob Kennedy (Marilyn), Mark Kennedy (Katie), Jodie King (Tim); 10 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Leona Madsen; sister-in-law, Marion McKeown; step-children, Rebecca Moad (Bert), Sharon Galvin (Tom), Edwin McCallum (Freda), David McCallum (Pamela), Paul McCallum (Diane); 10 step-grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home Monday 10:30 a.m. for cortege to the Crescent Cemetery for graveside services to begin at 11:00 a.m.. Memorials are suggested to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
