Melanie Elizabeth Koontz, age 16 of Omaha passed away May 15, 2012. She was born April 29, 1996 in Omaha. Melanie was a student at Benson High in Omaha. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Bernard & Judy Post. Melanie is survived by her parents, Andrew & Michelle Koontz; brothers, Thomas Brown and Jacob Brown; paternal grandmother, Ellen Dugan; nephew, Jesse Samson; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Sunday 2-5PM at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service is Monday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment is in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Omaha.
