Mikel D. Wyatt

Mikel Wyatt, age 83, passed away September 5, 2026. He was born August 3, 1943 to Miles and Alice (Jones) Wyatt in Council Bluffs, IA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny (Susie) Wyatt; brother - in- laws, Leo Fleming and Charlie Gates.

Left to cherish his memories, Mikel is survived by his wife Janet Wyatt; children, Thomas "Tom" (Paul Hamernik) Wyatt, Julie (Mark Moore) Smith; grandchildren, Brianne (Erik) White, Taylor Wyatt, Gavin Smith, Macie Smith; great grandson, Damon Pell; sister, Norma Gates Fleming; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 09, 2026.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Final Resting place at Walnut Hill Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
Mikel was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, and those attending the service are encouraged to wear black and gold or Iowa Hawkeye attire in his honor.
