Norbert W. Britten

Norbert “Bud” Britten, Jr., 71 years, of Council Bluffs, passed away early Sunday morning at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. Born in Council Bluffs, he has lived his lifetime here, working for the Union Pacific Railroad, most recently as marketing manager.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert, Sr. and Helen (Butler) Britten and his sister, Joyce Britten.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sharyl; three sons, William “Bill” Britten and Kathie, Steve Britten and Mindy, Matthew Britten and Kelly; his sisters, Marilyn Miller and Charlie, Jeanette Zdan and David, Phyllis Snook and Fran, Elaine Chapek and Tom; six grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Allison, Abigail, Mackenzie and Conor.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening between the hours of 6 and 7:30PM with special remarks being given at 7:30PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home.
