Peter David Krause

Peter D. Krause, age 85, passed away at Midlands Living Center on August 28, 2026.

He was born August 8, 1941, to the late Peter and Ann (Quiring) Krause in Windom, MN. Pete graduated from High School in Saint James Minnesota and then attended Bob Jones University. Pete was the longtime operator of Grease Monkey in Council Bluffs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Krause.

Peter is survived by his children, Brad Krause (Carole), Bruce Krause (Cara); five grandchildren, Brennen, Honest, Nolan, Riley, and Gavin; siblings, Jim Krause (Chris), Ann Krause, and John Krause; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, September 03, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, September 4, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Saint John United Church of Christ, Lewis Township Volunteer Fire & Rescue or the Council Bluffs Optimist Club.
