Rebecca Ann Stacy

Rebecca Ann Stacy, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026.

She was born on May 31, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late Paul and Mildred (Hamm) Kliewer. As the daughter of a preacher, Becky spent her childhood in several communities, including Indiahoma, Oklahoma; Corn, Oklahoma; Mountain Lake, Minnesota; and Bridgewater, South Dakota, before eventually arriving in Omaha, Nebraska. They would often joke that Omaha was where she was "found and rescued" by her future husband of 50 years, Edward. After meeting at Grace Bible Institute and marrying, Becky and Ed made their home in Crescent, Iowa, where they raised their family.

Becky was devoted to her family and her faith. She was a stay at home mom and was active in church throughout her life. She also loved watching birds, crafting and stamping, and visiting with friends and family.

She found particular joy in her final years serving her Lord at Jubilee Church. Even when she was not feeling her best, Becky loved volunteering at the church and ministering to and serving her church family. She always made time to connect with others and lend support. Her belief in God's plan never wavered and her legacy lives on through the family she built and the lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Eileen Penner. She is survived by her beloved husband Edward Stacy, children Eric (Bethany) Stacy and Kathryn (Andrew) Deutschman, and granddaughters Hannah Stacy and Emma Deutschman. She is also survived by siblings Leon (Dianne) Kliewer, Rachel (Richard) Morehead, Marie (David) Berquist, and Karla (Ted) McPeake. She will be deeply missed by a host of other friends and extended family whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Becky dedicated her life to caring for and serving those around her, and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Two of the scriptures that were key to how she lived her life are in Psalms.

Psalm 27:13-14...I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Psalm 73:28...But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, That I may declare all Your works.

A Celebration Service will be held at 7:00 pm at Jubilee Church in Omaha on Thursday, September 10th. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am at Jubilee Church on Friday, September 11th with a luncheon to follow.
There will be a private immediate family interment.
The family will direct memorials.
