Richard Kannas

Richard Kannas, age 83, passed away peacefully at Creighton January 21, 2022. He was born February 27, 1938 to George and Lillian (Ostrom) Kannas in Grand Rapids, MN.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service.
Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy Kannas; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Randy) Gallup and Jennifer (Paul) Abshier; brother and sister-in-law, Tom (Gloria) Kannas; grandchildren, Ali (John) Podraza, Amanda (John) Cool, and Kaitlin (Jordan) Pettit; great grandchildren, Abel and Jed Cool.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM at Omaha National Cemetery on Friday, April 15, 2022.
The family will direct memorials.
