Richard L. Meier

Richard L. Meier, age 72, passed away September 18, 2017.
He was born in Persia, IA on April 10, 1945 to the late Fred and Edna (Dobernecker) Meier. Richard was a career truck driver.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson, Tanner Porter; siblings, Lotus Martin, Fred Meier, Ron Meier and Lavonne Springman.
Richard is survived by his wife, Kathleen Meier; children, Julie Meier Childers (Torre), Michael Meier (Maria), Christy Meier Porter, Bonnie Donahue (Tony); siblings, Rogena Schmidt, Robert Meier (Janet), Deanna Huebner (Marvin); 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment is in Garner Township Cemetery.
The family will direct memorials.
