Rita Chase

Rita Chase, age 75, passed away January 6, 2026. She was born November 16, 1950 to Sipriano and Geraldine (Yochum) DeSantiago in Council Bluffs, IA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine DeSantiago; her husband, Richard Chase; sister, Rhonda DeSantiago; and nephew, Jeremy White.

Rita is survived by her father, Syrup DeSantiago; brothers, Ric (Cindy) DeSantiago, Rory DeSantiago; 8 nieces and nephews, Jaime White (Erin), DJ White (Diane), Andy DeSantiago (Jaime), Rachel DeSantiago, Melissa Bildt (Eric), Reubin DeSantiago, Ian DeSantiago (Abby), Aaron DeSantiago (Mallory); and her cat, Bud; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 09, 2026.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The family will direct memorials.
