Robert DeYoung

Robert J. DeYoung, age 68, passed away at CHI Health Mercy Hospital on November 24, 2025.

He was born June 30, 1957, to John and Helen (Huyck) DeYoung in Beloit, WI. Robert graduated high school from Cambria-Friesland High School in Wisconsin with the class of 1976 and then earned a bachelor's degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. Robert then became a registered nurse after finishing the program at Jennie Edmundson. He was a member of Harvest Community Church in Omaha.

Robert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Julie DeYoung; children, Robert C. DeYoung and John D. DeYoung (Nicole), bonus daughter, Jessica Johnson; siblings, Ricky DeYoung (Peggy), Daniel DeYoung (Doreen), and Gayle Polinsky (Mike); in-laws, Daniel & Linda Chapman; siblings-in-law, Joyce & David Rydstrom; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, December 05, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Harvest Community Church on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Interment is in the Downsville Cemetery. The family will direct memorials in his honor.
