Robert E. Lahey

Robert E. “Bob” Lahey, age 80, passed away February 3, 2019.

He was born in Casey, Iowa on November 27, 1938 to the late Walter and Anna Pearl (Nelson) Lahey. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Bernard, Jim and Jack Lahey; sisters, Helen Baudler, Mary Rhodes, Anne Clow and Kathy Funderburk.

Bob is survived by his wife, Joyce Lahey; children, Bruce Lahey (Amy), Byron Lahey (Diana), Elaine Followwill (Erick), sister, Angela Pullen (Duane); 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30a.m. on Thursday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church – 1 Bluff Street in Council Bluffs. Inurnment is in the Greenfield, Iowa Cemetery on Friday. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter’s or Lewis Township Fire and Rescue.
