Robert Nevin Keysor

Jun 28, 1942 — Aug 28, 2026

Robert N. Keysor, of rural Treynor, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2026.

Robert was born June 28, 1942, in Ashland, Ohio, to the late Franklin and Kathleen Keysor. He married Jnelle Trede on April 29, 1965, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. To this union three sons were born: Kevin, Craig, and Kendall. Robert and Jnelle raised their family on the family farm near Treynor.

Robert was a man who enjoyed the simple and lasting things in life. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, gardening, and time spent on the farm. Many of his happiest days were the ordinary ones, surrounded by family, working with his hands, or sharing an adventure outdoors.

He was a longtime member of Zion Congregational Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon, church council president, and Sunday usher.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army and later worked as a missile operator at the Treynor Missile Base. His life was marked by hard work, service, devotion to family, and deep roots in the community he called home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Kathleen Keysor, as well as a number of aunts and uncles.

Robert is survived by his wife, Jnelle; his sons, Kevin Keysor of Treynor, Craig Keysor and his wife Melanie of Treynor, and Kendall Keysor and his wife Sara of Bennington, Nebraska; his sisters, Marie, Kathy, Ginger, and Mona; and his grandchildren, Jordan and Morgan, Madison and Dylan Blankenship, Mitchell Keysor, Jamison Keysor and Lea, Tristan Keysor, Ava Keysor, and Collin Keysor. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.

Robert's life was not defined by a single accomplishment, but by the family he raised, the work he did, the faith he practiced, and the countless ordinary moments that became treasured memories for those who loved him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
