Robert Massie

Robert D. Massie, age 73, of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025 at Douglas County Health Center. He was born November 28, 1951 in Council Bluffs, IA, the son of the late Dale (Sr.) and Patricia Massie.

Bob was raised by his late grandmother, Nora Hultquist after the death of his mother at a young age. He enlisted in the US Navy, but was medically released a short time later during boot camp. He was a Christian and believer in God. He shared his love of the Nebraska Cornhuskers with his late brother David.

Survivors include: sibling Dale Jr of IL and his niece and guardian Wendy also of IL, along with many other nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and grandmother, Bob was preceded in death by his grandfather Walter Hultquist; siblings Patricia, Michael, Roger and David.

Christian burial will be private at Garner Cemetery in Council Bluffs, IA. The family will direct any memorials.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home and Crematory, Council Bluffs, IA.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Douglas County Health Center in Omaha whom have loved and cared for Bob for the past several years.
