Roberta Lee Dague

Roberta (Bobbe) Lee Dague, age 80, passed away at Methodist Jennie Edmundson hospital on August 4, 2026.

She was born April 3, 1946 to the late William and Arlene Dague in Des Moines, IA. Bobbe graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, IA with the class of 1964. She continued her education at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO. Bobbe was also a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.

Bobbe moved to Virginia and worked many years for Eastern Airlines and also System One, which was Eastern Airlines reservation system. She was able to travel to many exciting destinations in Europe and Asia, while working for Eastern. She also lived in Florida for a few years and later returned to Council Bluffs and worked for Dillard's department store.

Bobbe enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends. She also loved the holidays, especially Christmas. You could always count on receiving unusual and interesting gifts from Bobbe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Philpott.

Roberta is survived by her sister, Mary (Dague) Spitznagle; nephew, Raymond Philpott - Stansbury of Park, UT; niece, Shari Philpott of Lafayette, CO; nephew, Brian Spitznagle (Jen) , nephew, Ben Spitznagle (Cindy), nephew, Adam Spitznagle and many great nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The family will direct memorials.
