Ronald D. "Doc" Vanwinkle
January 20, 1941 — February 7, 2015
Ronald D. Doc VanWinkle, age 74, of Council Bluffs passed away February 7, 2015. He was born in Deshler, Nebraska on January 20, 1941 to the late Harold and Eileen VanWinkle. He retired in 2002 from the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad. Doc is survived by his wife of 25 years, Catherine VanWinkle; children, Michelle Cole (Dan), Debbie Rutledge (Tony), Nichole Doran (Brian), Chris Vanderloo (Angel), Karen Vanderloo; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and JoAnn VanWinkle grandchildren, Nathan Vanderloo, Blake Starnes (Shannon), Derek Daulfeldt, Lilian Doran, Rosalyn Doran; a host of other family and friends. Visitation will start at 3PM on Wednesday February 11, 2015. Celebration of his life service will begin at 5PM.
