Ronald Eugene Helmick

Ronald Eugene Helmick, age 70, of Omaha, passed away on May 19, 2016. He was born in Sacramento, California on September 16, 1945 to Oscar and Edna (Shoff) Helmick. Ron was a veteran of the United States Navy. He married Doris Martin on May 17, 1969 at the First United Methodist Church in Sacramento, CA. Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, playing softball, coaching his kids, Husker football and especially spending time with family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and daughter; Tamara (2013) He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter; Dena Bradley (Brad), son; Ronald W. Helmick, son-in-law; James Walker, grandchildren; Gabe and Liam Walker, Devin Bradley, Davis Hughes, Sydney, Alyssa, Jessica and Hunter Bradley, Tana and Chase Helmick, Jessie Rose Linstrom, sister; Connie Hill (Robert) and a host of family and friends. A Celebration of Rons life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Chandler Acres Baptist Church, 7505 Chandler Acres Dr., Bellevue, NE. The family will direct memorials.
