Roy Quakenbush
June 3, 1929 — August 12, 2022
Roy Quakenbush, age 93, passed away at his home August 12, 2022.
He was born June 3, 1929, to John and Lena (Thayer) Quakenbush in Axtell, KS. Roy was a longtime barber in Council Bluffs. He was a Mason and Shriner. Roy was a member of Broadway Christian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Quakenbush; son, Steven Quakenbush; son-in-law, Colin Schwarz; brothers, Ray Quakenbush, Leo Quakenbush, Dale Quakenbush, Sam Quakenbush and Paul Quakenbush; and sister, Mary Quakenbush.
Roy is survived by his children, Debra Bonar Schwarz, Michael Quakenbush (Lori), and Cindy Harper (Dave); grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Monday, September 12, 2022. The family will direct memorials.
