Preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Phyllis (Williams) Short.
Rusty is survived by his wife, Miraflor Short; children, Misty Topolski, Douglas Short (Judy); siblings, Faye Ann Biodrowski (John) and Duane Short (Leslie); 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Memorial service is 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home.
