Ruth Hall

Ruth E. Hall, age 89, passed away peacefully at Josie Harper Hospice House September 4, 2025.

She was born September 2, 1936, to the late to Roger and Ruth (Fuller) Preston in Grinnell, IA. Ruth graduated from Grinnell High School in Grinnell, Iowa with the class of 1954.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Preston Sr. (Neva); sister, Martha Mason.

Ruth is survived by her children, Lisa Parmley (David Reed) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Valerie Leviton (Marc) of Tucson, Arizona, Christopher Parmley (Rie) of Millard, Nebraska, and Sylvia Parmley of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Jasmine Parmley of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ian Parmley of Millard, Nebraska, Elijah Leviton and Isaac Leviton, both of Tucson, Arizona.

Private family graveside service will be in Grinnell, Iowa, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Iowa PBS Foundation in Johnston, Iowa.
