Sara Joplin, age 87, passed away peacefully at Jennie Edmundson Hospital January 23, 2022.
She was born September 28, 1934, to the late William "Bloomer" and Mildred Nance in Saint Paul, KS.
All who knew her will miss this remarkably cheerful and selfless woman who spent her life on people not things, but none will miss her more than her family. Her legacy is a life well lived and it follows that even in death she touched the lives of those around her with a powerful, sweet witness to the Lord she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Joplin; siblings, Arthur Nance, John Nance, Bill Nance, Irene Lupoli, and Joe Nance.
Sara is survived by her children, Patricia (Frank) Daub, and David Joplin; siblings, MaryAnn (David) Burris, and Robert (Patty) Nance; grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Open viewing and visitation without the family present will be held from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, January 28, 2022. Private family burial in the Crescent Iowa Cemetery.
Family and friends will be invited to honor Sara at a country celebration of life picnic/bonfire in the month of June.
