Scott Mcphillips

Scott McPhillips, age 53, passed away peacefully at Avoca Specialty Care April 1, 2022.

Scott is survived by his mother, Beverly Krumwiede; daughter, Rose McPhillips; brother, Steve (Julie) McPhillips; nieces and nephews, Daniel (Lori), Matthew, Nicole, Raymond, Faith, and Hope.

Scott graduated from Tri-Center Community School, Neola, Iowa in 1987. He loved playing sports Football, Basketball, and Baseball. His Junior Year, the team was State Runner-up in Basketball and Baseball. His happiest moment was winning the State Championship in Baseball in 1987, and being the MVP. Scott went to Simpson College in 1987 and graduated from Iowa Western Community College in 1994.

Scott was severely injured in a car accident in October 1989 and was in the hospital/rehab for 2 1/2 years. Christ used Scott during that time and since to devote his life to evangelizing for Christ. He wrote 3 (Superman) Books and was often seen sitting in the Old Market in Omaha talking to people.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 06, 2022.

Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. The family will direct memorials in Scott's honor.
