Scott Sindt

Scott A Sindt., age 64, passed away at CHI Health Bergan Mercy on January 19, 2026.

He was born July 29, 1961, to the late Gustav and Melba (Eledge) Sindt in Council Bluffs, IA. Scott graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1980. He was a groundskeeper at CHI Immanuel Hospital with over 45 years of service. Scott enjoyed riding his Harley, camping, and fishing. He also loved his pets that he leaves behind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bret Riche; nephew, Mike Mikels; grandson, Leland Johnson.

Scott is survived by his wife of 19 years, Christine Sindt; sons, Derek Sparks (Rachel) and Jacob Johnson (Brittany Spivey); daughters, Salana Holer (Ray) and Victoria Perez (Rob); brother, Gust Sindt (Sanda); 14 grandchildren; special niece, Brigette Hood; father-in-law, John Johnson; mother-in-law, Connie Johnson; brothers-in-law, Shawn Johnson (Donna) and Ron Thompson (Kathy); nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Interment is in the Minden Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
