Sean Ryan Gray

Sean Ryan Gray, age 61, passed away peacefully May 28, 2026.

Sean was born (Jeff Dale Griffith) June 7, 1964 to Dale and Marjorie (Murphy) Griffith in Des Moines, IA.

Sean graduated from Westside High School in 1982 (Regents scholar) and University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1991 with a Bachelor of Geography degree.

After graduation, Sean had a variety of jobs including: The Associates, CSI, GLS Direct, Member Works (customer service), Sears Credit (new accounts), Abbott Bank (card division) and American Cancer Society (data specialist).

Sean also provided non-medical care giving for both of his parents. Who preceded him in death, Dale 2016 and Marjorie 2019.

Sean liked to invest in the stock market including Berkshire Hathaway.

Sean attended meetings weekly for AA, played cards at a local senior center and enjoyed watching football, basketball and golf.

He also over the years had several sports cars and collected watches and sun glasses.

Sean loved to listen to a variety of music which included jazz.

Sean is survived by: his sisters Jean Sharma (Vijay) and Jill Orr (Bill), his nieces Monika Sharma (Tanner) and Kiran Sharma (Erik), his nephews Doug Orr (Audrey and children) and Benjamin Orr.

Sean asked to be cremated and his ashes buried at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The private service to be held at a future date.
