Sharyl Reed

Sharyl Reed, age 81, passed away January 7, 2026. She was born August 9, 1944 to Donald and Josephine (Mattox) Breeden in Omaha, Nebraska.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Nelson; and her step-son, Steven Reed; sister, Patricia Vogt; brothers, Donald Breeden, and Glen Breeden.

Sharyl is survived by her husband, Earl Reed; her children, Tammy (Guy) Barnes, Christine Young, Joe (Lisa) Nelson; step children, Cherokie (Dennis) Nekuda, and Jeff (Cindy) Reed; sister, Peggy Collister; grandchildren, Chevell, Michael, Rylie James, Mystic, Ryan, Jesse, Aaron, Montana, Claudia, Christian, Claire, Darcie, and Terri; great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

A meal to celebrate her life will be on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 3:30pm at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
