Shelley Ronk

Shelley Ann Ronk, born on December 27, 1969, in Council Bluffs, IA, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her legacy of love and kindness will forever illuminate the lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Bradley; her grandparents, Ralph and Norma Bradley; her brother, Robert Rupp; her sister, Kathy Rupp; and her precious grandson, Baby Dean Kephart. Shelley is survived by her devoted spouse, Gary Ronk, who stood by her side through every challenge. Together, they raised three remarkable daughters: Shantel (Kevin) Hathaway, Shauna (Kyle) Kephart, and Shyla Ronk, who were the pride and joy of Shelley's life. Her legacy also lives on through her four treasured grandchildren: Alesana Gibbs, Dean Kephart, Ryan Wason and Damon James-Ronk. Her sister: Karen Rupp and her sweet Boxer: Smokey who brought immense happiness to her days; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A proud graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, class of 1988. She dedicated many years of her life to her work as a typesetter with Cockle Printing in Omaha, NE. Her colleagues remember her not only for her professional talents but also for her quick wit and warm smile that brightened the workplace.

Shelley possessed a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her kindness was boundless, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family and friends. Always there for her daughters, she guided them with unwavering support as they navigated through life's journey. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she was a beacon of love and strength for all.

In honoring Shelley's memory, the family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE, for their compassionate care, and to St. Croix Hospice for their unwavering kindness and love during her final days.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate her life, her love, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
