Sherman D. Livengood

Sherman D. Livengood, age 74, passed away October 26, 2014 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was born in Macedonia, Iowa on January 21, 1940 to the late William S. & Ruth L. (Silver) Livengood. Sherm graduated from the Macedonia High School and then attended Northwest Missouri State University. He was a member of First Christian Church and the Council Bluffs Optimist Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Gary Livengood; sister, Ellen Woltmann and his son, Doug Livengood. Sherm is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruby Livengood; daughters, Laura Mercolita (Jun) and Alisha Rulapaugh (Tim); brother, William Livengood (Bev); 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends. Visitation is Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service is Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor David Erickson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garner Township Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church.
