Shirley C. (Stiles) Smith

Shirley C. (Stiles) Smith, age 89, passed into Glory October 27, 2022 in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was born on September 30, 1933 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Orval M. and Elverna A. (Wells) Stiles. Shirley graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She was an avid gardener and wonderful cook. Shirley held many secretarial jobs through the years, including working for the State of Iowa, International Harvester and Barrier Tires.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Art; her infant son, Richard; brothers, George, Junior, Earl, and sister, Dorothea.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Kathy Jo (Chuck) Gardner, Karyn Smith and joyfully her 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; nieces; nephew; and many friends.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 3:00-4:00 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She will be interred in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
