Steven Chapman

Steven Chapman, age 66, passed away at Jennie Edmundson Hospital June 1, 2023. Steve grew up in Council Bluffs and served in the Navy for 4 years. He met his wife, Patricia in high school. The couple wed and were married for 43 years. They had 2 children and several dogs they both loved.

Steve had a love for the outdoors and art. He enjoyed kite flying, metal detecting, drone flying, clay modeling, gardening, science, and pencil drawing. Steve had a love for his 4 legged- friends, as well as all wildlife.

Steve worked in various funeral homes in his career, McCurdy Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, Good Shepherd Funeral Home, and most recently, Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home.

Steve took every chance he got to tell others about his grandchildren, his work in the funeral home in years past and his collections he had gathered throughout his life. He will be missed by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.

Steven is survived by his children, Steven Chapman and Courtney Chapman; grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Jaxon, Scarlett, and twins Kaylee and Macey.

Per Steve's wishes, no services will be held.
