Susan Dingman

Susan Marie (Abel) Dingman, born May 26, 1952, to Helen and Richard Abel passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025, following a short illness. She was 73 years old.

A devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Susan leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Randy Dingman; her daughters Tracy (Chad) Maxwell, Brenda Riiley, Amy (Josh) Vermule, Christine (Leon) Augustine, and Randa (Steve) LaCroix; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Susan found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved making homemade items and sharing them at local craft fairs. A passionate "Kansas City Chiefs" fan. Most of all, she enjoyed attending the grandchildren's events, as much as possible.

Throughout her life, Susan worked in several roles, including at the Daily Nonpareil, Imperial Insurance, and Iowa Workforce.

Susan's love, strength, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life is planned for October 23, 2025 at The Legion at 716 S. 4th Street, Council Bluffs, Iowa from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Please come and share your memories with the family.
