Terry Dean Carmicheal

Terry Dean Carmicheal Sr., age 87, of Council Bluffs, IA, passed away January 31, 2026 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born September 14, 1938 to Orville and Bertha (Kelso) Carmicheal in Omaha, NE. Terry graduated from North Highschool in 1956. He was in the Air Force for 4 years and spent 38 years at the Omaha Post Office. Terry married Peggy (Stevens) July 4, 1967.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Frances, Wayne, Leonard, Beverly Calhoun, Orville Jr., Gene and Elva Mae Jenson; his sister-in-law, Donna Carmicheal; great grandson, Timmy Griffis.

Terry is survived by his wife, Peggy Carmicheal; children, Greg Frederickson, Terry Dean Carmicheal Jr., Cynthia "Cindy" McCowan, Sandra Griffis, Robert Roy McCowan; 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Forth Allen Carmicheal; nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 am on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home at 11:00 am.
Final Resting place at Garner Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
