Terry Lyle Hansen

Terry Lyle Hansen, age 70, passed away peacefully at Chapter's Living in Council Bluffs on June 6, 2026. He was born July 22, 1955 to Lyle and Eva Joerns Hansen in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Terry lived in various parts of the country with stops in Ohio, California, Florida, Arizona, and Virginia. But he always called the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area his home. He grew up in Treynor and has fond memories of his childhood. Terry enjoyed sports and traveling. He was a self proclaimed master of retaining as he termed it "useless information". But, he was always up for a good story, facts about family history, and a good discussion about "ball". His career was in the hospitality management industry which took him around the country.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Larry Jacobsen, brother in law.

Terry is survived by his daughter, Kari Hansen and her husband, Patrick Martin, granddaughters Payton Martin and Charlee Martin of Omaha, Brother, Gary Hansen of the St. Louis area. Sister, Sherry Jacobsen of Atlantic, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews most of which reside in Iowa and Missouri.

Private services will be held.  There will be a private burial at a later date. The family will direct memorials.
