Thomas Dale Boyd

The family of Thomas Boyd is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Sunday, June 14th 2026. Tom is leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Tom loved his family with all his heart. His devotion to his sons, Jed and Brody, was immeasurable, and he took immense pride in being their father. One of the greatest joys of his life was becoming a grandfather to Bennett Thomas, a role he cherished deeply. Tom enjoyed riding, fishing, cooking, and telling a good story. He had a way of making an impression on everyone he met, and those who knew him will never forget his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and generous spirit. There wasn't a role Tom couldn't master. Whether he was working as a mechanic, truck driving, building as a carpenter, plumbing, or teaching life's most valuable lessons, he approached every task with skill, determination, and pride. He was the kind of person others turned to when they needed help, guidance, or simply someone who knew how to get the job done. The world lost someone truly special on June 14th. Tom leaves behind a legacy that can never be replaced - a legacy built on love, hard work, laughter, and the countless lives he touched along the way. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his 2 sons, Jedidiah (Shaylie) Boyd of Council Bluffs,Iowa; Brody Boyd of Council Bluffs, Iowa; grandson, Bennett Boyd of Council Bluffs, Iowa; niece Kaylie (Bryce) Carruthers of Underwood,Iowa ; nephews, Jonathan Boyd of Council Bluffs,Iowa; Andy (Rachel) Boyd of Oregon, Missouri; sister-in-law, Michaela Burns of Neola, Iowa; mother, Lillian Boyd of Savannah, Missouri; sister, Vonda Boyd of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother, Ron Boyd of Savannah, Missouri and a host of other relatives and friends.

 Tom was preceded in death by his father Steve Boyd, brothers John Boyd & Don Boyd, and great-niece, Harley Carruthers.

A celebration of life will be held at Caddy's in Council Bluffs, Iowa on July 11th 2026, at 12pm.
